Where are the settings?

Press and hold anywhere on the screen for half a second, or shake the phone. The whole screen belongs to the page, so there is no toolbar and no menu button — those two gestures are the only way in.

A dark page looks too dark.

Real e-paper is reflective and has no backlight, so white-on-black would mean a dark screen everywhere. Turn on Invert under Tone and you get black type on white paper again.

I want to keep the midtones.

Lower Quantise steepness under Dither. At the low end you keep the most grey, which is kinder to photographs; at the high end you get near pure black and white, which is sharpest for type.

Long-press stopped working on pages.

That is deliberate. Long-press was taken for the settings panel, so the page's own long-press — text selection, link preview — gives way. Tapping, scrolling and typing are untouched.

How do I see the gesture tour again?

Settings → Interaction → Replay the gesture tour.

I changed phones. How do I get my subscription back?

Tap Restore purchase on the paywall. The subscription is tied to your Apple Account, so it comes back on a new phone or a fresh install.

How do I cancel?

Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → Pale Ink → Cancel. You keep the rest of the period you paid for. That step lives in the App Store, not in Pale Ink.

Can the home page show something else?

Yes — it is driven by the address. eink://home?coins=bitcoin,solana&vs=usd&gh=your-github-username adds the coins, currency and follower count you care about.
